Hello darlin', check out why I said YES

Hello, Darlin'
I wanted to share a little of what I’ve been up to… because this season has been one of those “okay, this is exactly why I said yes to all of this” kind of moments.
You know how there’s just something that happens when you put on an outfit that feels like you? Not just cute or trendy, but strong, capable, like you could walk into anything and handle it. Your shoulders come back, your chin lifts a little, and suddenly you’re thinking… alright, let’s go.
That shift? That’s the magic I’m always chasing...even when I'm in my pajamas.
So when I was invited to partner with One Step Ministry for their Inspirational Tea & Fashion Show, I’ll be honest… I paused. I’ve got a full plate over here. But the second I understood the heart behind what they do, I knew this wasn’t something I could pass on. It turned into one of those full circle kind of yeses.
I get to style six of the moms who will be modeling in the show (which… I already know I’ll be fluffing outfits and trying not to get teary eyed at the same time), and we’ll also be bringing Stella West in for shopping for the 170 attendees, with a portion going right back to support the event.
And these women… they’re something else. They are full of courage whether they know it yet or not. They’re not just “having a hard season.” They are rebuilding their lives from the ground up, finding housing, figuring out finances, taking care of their kids, and still choosing to show up and step back into the workforce like “okay, what’s next?” This is the heart of One Step Ministry… walking right alongside them through every part of that rebuilding.
And over here on my end, I’ve been quietly building something that’s been sitting on my heart for a while now, our Interview Clothing Support program.
This is separate from the event, but something I’m really excited to bring alongside what One Step is already doing.
It’s something I created for women who are stepping into job interviews without the means to pull together something that feels polished or “ready.” And I don’t charge for it. If you need it, it’s for you. Simple as that.
Because sometimes it’s not about a whole new outfit. Sometimes it’s about someone sitting next to you saying, “go ahead, try this… this is you,” and watching that little shift happen in real time.
We work with what’s already there, fill in the gaps where we can, and send her out the door feeling like herself again… just a little more steady, a little more sure.
Because let’s be honest… walking into an interview when you’re rebuilding your life can feel like climbing a mountain in boots that have seen better days. And if I can polish ’em up a bit, I’m going to.
And these women… they’re the kind of strong that doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful. The kind that makes you stop and think, “yeah… she’s going to be okay.” And then somehow, that strength spills over and makes the next woman believe she might be okay too.
That ripple… that’s the good stuff.
So if you want to be part of something really meaningful (and yes, there will be tea… and probably me adjusting someone’s sleeve in the corner), here’s what’s coming up:
